Thanks for checking out our team. We are passionate about physical therapy and providing the highest standard of care for our patients. Our therapists have a broad range of expertise which is unique in the Washington, DC area. We are experts at post-operative therapy, pediatrics, women's health and integrating a number of specialized techniques and certifications to treat elite and professional level athletes. The result is that you get better, faster at Rose PT...and you stay well.

Sydney Potter, DPT

Sydney is a key member of our endurance athlete injury prevention and performance programs. Sydney has a special interest in rehabilitation and performance of endurance athletes as she herself is an advocate for health, wellness, and education with personal experiences in endurance sport. She is certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and trigger point dry needling.

Sydney swam competitively for 12 years, beginning at the age of 5. She has raced in a variety of races including the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, Rome (Italy) Marathon, Tour de Scottsdale, Sea Otter Classic Gran Fondo and Lifetime Tempe Tri. She is planning to move up to Ironman 70.3 distance in the next year, and is excited to participate in local races around the DC area.

A native of DC, Sydney also has an extensive knowledge of cycling and has experience working in the cycling industry in Arizona. She is moving back home after a few years in California and Arizona. As a hobby, Sydney enjoys photography and looks forward to capturing DC. She earned both her BS in Exercise Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Logan Circle.

Alexandra ("Alex") Anderson, DPT

Alex is a native of Washington, DC and is an expert in treating athletes using Trigger Point Dry Needling and Active Release Techniques. She has a wealth of experience treating athletes, and has previously worked with collegiate athletics teams. Alex is also a former college soccer and softball player, and is an avid crossfit athlete here in DC. Owing to her experience as an athlete, she is particularly passionate about the prevention and treatment of orthopedic and sports related injuries.

Alex completed both her B.S. in Health Sciences and her DPT at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. She is a resident of Bethesda.

Rachel Fox, DPT

Rachel is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and Trigger Point Dry Needling. She has trained with leading orthopedic surgeons and osteopaths in treatment of numerous professional and college level athletes in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and Atlanta prior to joining Rose PT. Her interest in sports medicine stems from her own athletic career as a varsity NCAA All American figure skater and her experience as an avid runner.

Rachel was born and raised in Maryland, where she was a competitive figure skater from the time she was 4 years old.  She attended Miami University (OH) for her undergraduate studies, during which time she skated with the Senior Varsity Synchronized Skating Team, helping them earn the silver at the 2007 World Synchronized Skating Championships, the first ever US medal in this event. While en route to earning her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2007, Rachel became interested in physical therapy after a serious sports injury of her own lead to many hours in therapy as a patient. Rachel graduated with her DPT from the University of Miami, FL.  In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching figure skating, cheering on the Caps and the Hurricanes, and training for road races.  She lives in the West End.

Holli Finneren, DPT

Holli specializes in treating endurance athletes. She is an expert in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Active Release Techniques (ART) and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT).

Holli is a former NCAA Division I collegiate soccer player and is a member of the Snapple Elite Triathlon Team and DC Tri Club. Holli races all triathlon distances, from sprint distance races to Ironman Distance. She also enjoys sailing and cycling. Holli has a BS in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in Atlanta, GA and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy is from George Washington University. Holli lives in Dupont Circle.

Kendall Lynch, DPT, OCS

Kendall is an expert in treating dancers, musicians and runners, and is also a certified Pilates instructor. After obtaining her Doctorate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, Kendall was on the physical therapy faculty for the University of Florida and concurrently practiced orthopedic physical therapy in Tampa, FL for about five years prior to joining Rose PT. She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Kendall’s interests center on diagnostic physical therapy. She is Active Release Techniques (ART) certified, as well as an expert in Trigger Point Dry Needling.

Kendall is also in the process of completing coursework for the Herman and Wallace pelvic floor dysfunction specialty certification related to both men’s and women’s health--this is particularly relevant to treating urinary incontinence and pelvic pain.

An experienced runner and triathlete, Kendall is excited to participate in the DC running and triathlon scenes. She competes in 5k to half-marathon running races (e.g. Disney Half 2014) and sprint and Olympic distance triathlons. She is also an avid recreational cyclist on pace to log over 4000 miles of riding in 2015. Kendall is a certified Pilates instructor from Polestar Pilates. A native of Chicago, she and her husband live in NoMa.

Misty Brooks, DPT

Misty is an expert at treating persistent scar tissue injuries using Graston Technique, and she is also in the process of obtaining certification for Active Release Techniques (ART) and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). She is particularly interested in treating weightlifters and crossfit athletes, a group of patients who are exposed to both high intensity as well as endurance activities.

Misty was born and raised in Roanoake, VA and obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Misty joined Rose PT after her husband, a member of the United States Air Force, was stationed in Washington. Misty is an avid crossfit athlete and lives in City Center.

Claire Bowe, M. Ed., PT, owner

Claire founded the Rose Physical Therapy Group with the goal of providing a higher level of patient care. She believes in one-on-one therapy in which each therapist teams with their respective clients to find an answer to the problem at hand. She believes in providing clients with state-of-the-art knowledge to help them recover.

Claire has over 20 years of experience in patient care. She is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (MDT) by the McKenzie Institute and is an Ergonomic Assessment Specialist under the United States Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). Claire is certified to provide Active Release Techniques (ART) physical therapy to Ironman athletes. Additionally she holds a master’s degree in Special Education with specialties in early intervention teaching children who are blind or visually impaired. She has extensive experience in orthopedic therapy for athletes, is an expert in spine and back, and in early intervention therapy for children. She is also certified to treat temporomandibular dysfunction, commonly known at TMJ or TMD.

Claire has a B.S. from Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon), a Master's in Education from the Portland State University (Portland, Oregon), and a Masters in Physical Therapy from the Governors State University (Chicago, Illinois).

Outside of work, Claire enjoys hobbies that involve two wheels. She is an instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and teaches courses for Northern Virginia Community College and Apex Cycle Education. She also enjoys endurance riding on her vintage Honda Goldwing and track riding on her Triumph Daytona. She is also an avid bicyclist and is a member of the D.C. Randonneurs and the Washington Area Bicycle Association (WABA). She and her husband live in Capitol Hill.

We have a professional staff of people in charge of scheduling, insurance claims and billing. These folks are an integral part of making our clinic run smoothly. These are our insurance and billing experts who are always willing to answer questions and help resolve any issues that may arise. As a courtesy to our clients we will verify your insurance benefits and process claims.

Katiya Keivitt

Katya helps patients with scheduling and insurance verification. She is from southern Maine and came to DC for school, studying at both George Washington Univerversity where she obtained her BA and conducing a post-baccalaureate program at Georgetown in preparation for medical school. (Just a side note, any medical school would be lucky to have her.) She is on site, and manages our office. 

Dorothy Destch

Dorothy might assist you with scheduling an appointment and insurance verification. Dorothy grew up in Silicon Valley before shunning the city life for an Oregon farm. She used to raise dairy goats, is an expert seamstress who is faithful to her Bernina sewing machines, and answers calls remotely from her home in the Oregon coastal foothills.

Tiffany Brooks

Tiffany might assist you with billing or insurance. She is from the McMinnville, Oregon and works remotely from Portland, Oregon. She is an avid outdoorsman and frequently hikes, hunts or can be found riding her Harley through the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake, Mount Hood or the Oregon Coast.
