Patient testimonials

Our clinic was founded with one simple goal: to provide the best physical therapy care you can receive, anywhere. At Rose Physical Therapy Group, our patients are our top priority. It shows in how quickly they recover. It shows in how often they refer their family and friends. Here is what our patients have to say:

Melanie S., Massage Therapist, Washington, DC - 4/20/2013

I've worked with Claire both as a colleague and a patient, so I have a very complete picture of how she does her work and the high standards to which she holds herself. I refer my clients to her without hesitation and I'd encourage anyone (especially those with neck issues) to seek her out.

Again, Claire is a wonderful therapist and I recommend her work wholeheartedly. She listens deeply and tailors her approach to each patient. More than that, she has a knack for breaking down complex ideas into simple steps and explaining the theory behind her treatment plan. This is extremely important to me----if I understand *why* I need to do a particular exercise or stretch, I'm much more likely to keep up with it.

John V., Computer Engineer, Washington, DC - 4/19/2013

Claire is a rarity in the medical profession. She listens. Yes, with her ears and everything. She listened when I told her what I was feeling, not only did she listen, she took that information, and then, gasp, formulated OTHER questions based on my info!! I know right!?

I've had plantar fasciitis for about 2 years now, some weeks are ok, some weeks I walk like a man 3 times my age. Yes, and man 126 years old. I was going to the podiatrist every few weeks or so but all he really offered was "it'll just fix itself over time" or a cortisone shot, which seemed to me was treating symptoms rather than the problem.

So that was where I was when a friend recommended Claire. I was disheartened that my pf would ever be better. Claire listened and came up with a course of action that was as effective as it was simple. It essentially involved massaging the knots out of my heels along with a stretching regimen. Simple as it sounds, it has been very effective over the past 2 months and I am back running again after over a year off.

I'd recommend Claire unequivocally for anything that ails ya. She'll listen and really do her best to come up with a way to make you feel better. It really does seem like her passion. She's also got some awesome interests like endurance sports, motorcycle riding and she's possibly a ninja.

I initially went to see Claire after seeing an orthopedic surgeon about knee pain. Claire quickly determined that the problem was not with my knee but my hip and back which was causing the pain in my knee. I have made huge progress with her help and I am now able to run again. I literally could not run for about 2 years before I started seeing Claire. She is wonderful!! I can't say enough how great she is and how much I have improved over the course of my treatment. She is also one of the nicest, most caring people I have ever met. I highly recommend her.

Mauro O., Argronomy Engineer, Washington, DC - 4/16/2013

Claire has helped me regain mobility and strength on my shoulder, after I had surgery to repair a torn bicep.  She has been great helping me through the pain and the frustration of the early stages when it seems you are not making any progress. The facility is very nice and right near the metro. She has handled seamlessly two insurances and always tried to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend her.

My appointment with Claire was exactly what I needed! I'm currently 7 months pregnant with twins and have been having major hip and back pain.  The exercises Claire gave me to do almost completely resolved all my pain and discomfort.  I highly recommend her for prenatal care.  You can tell how experienced and knowledgeable Claire is because she not only explains every movement but helps you to visualize the therapy through using spine models or drawings.  This was my first physical therapy session ever and I couldn't have picked a better therapist.

I'm so glad that I found Rose Physical Therapy.  I've been to several physical therapists in the DC area over the years but none have impressed me as much as Rose's!  I can't recommend Rose's enough.  Rose (Claire) took the time to sit down with me for a thorough exam and took the time to ask me questions and find out what my exact issue was.  She was more thorough than any other physical therapist that I have met with.  I particularly like the one-on-one approach.  I've been to several other places where the therapist has 5+ clients at the same time.  At each appointment, she took the time to reevaluate how I was progressing instead of simply jumping into new exercises.  At each step, Claire was great about answering any questions that I had and explained to me what the exercises should accomplish to result in better overall results.  I love the fact that she is certified in the McKenzie techniques.  I have learned new exercises that I had never known from other places.  I can't thank Claire enough-- I feel great!

Carol S., Washington, D.C.3/6/2013

I can not thank Claire Rose enough for her expertise as a Physical Therapist. I went to Claire after going to multiple physical therapy clinics in the D.C area. I had basically given up hope until I met Claire. Before seeing Claire I had back pain and tingling and numbness down my right leg that had been there for 8 months. I saw Claire and that day my symptoms decreased by 50%. I have now seen Claire 8 times and I rarely have any symptoms and if I do Claire has taught me how to get rid of my symptoms by myself.  I am so thankful to Claire I can now get through my day without any pain.

Amazing service!  I messed up my shoulder during weight training and was considering invasive medical intervention before I found Rose Physical Therapy.  The therapist gave me a very thorough exam, and provided me with a lot of exercises and information to work through my issue.  The service was definitely above and beyond what I expected, including plenty of follow-up care, with clear guidance for moving my therapy forward.  And most importantly, the therapy worked wonders for my shoulder pain.  I could tell the therapist really cared for my needs.  Five stars for sure.

I highly recommend Claire Rose of Rose PT if you are in search of a physical therapist in the DC area. She is extremely competent, knowledgeable and excellent in communicating with patients. I was suffering from an IT band injury and she got me back on track so that I could resume running and triathlon training. She was very thorough in her evaluation, and clear in her instruction for what I needed to do exercise-wise to heal and regain strength in weak areas that were causing an imbalance. Best of all, she was very personable and took the time to listen to me and understand my situation. Oh, and the location is very convenient!

Lucy A., Patent Agent, Alexandria, VA 2/13/2013

I strongly recommend Rose's, especially for athletes recovering from injuries as I'm a triathlete with serious IT band problems that kept me from racing last year (2012).  I've bounced around to several  PT's over the last 5 years and since recently moving to DC I've been in search of a new PT.  A friend recommended Rose's and I was extremely surprised when Rose (Claire) discovered something all the other PT's had missed - an issue with my knee cartilage that was keeping my knees from straightening and was perpetually affecting my IT bands.  I was impressed by Claire's outside-the-box thinking and super sharp intellect.  I also appreciated that she took the time to explain everything in detail so I could understand exactly what was going on with my body.  I was taught a new stretching exercise that I combined with my current foam rolling and have had great results--I can run for 45 minutes twice a week now without any pain!  (Previously, my knees wouldn't last for more than 10 minutes on the treadmill.)  I am so thankful as I'll be able to start racing again this summer.
